is for arm wrestling. Zac and Taylor like to have arm wrestling comps at least once a week. Tay always beats Zac - the big bully

B

is for Boomerang. This is the name of Hanson's first ever album. Middle of Nowhere is their third album. They've released two albums independently - Boomerang (an R&B mix) in 1994 and MMMBop (which features earlier versions of some of their current stuff) in 1996. These two albums aren't available but with Hanson h totalype in over-drive, I they'll re-release them pretty soon.

C

is for Christianity. The hansons are evangelical Christians. The boys dedicated Middle of Nowhere to 'the One'. "Our faith is important to us", says Isaac 'It keeps your head screwed on, just like having a good relationship with each other and our family.

D

is for drums. Zac's theory on how he ended up banging away is: "Taylor got keyboards because he'd been playing piano for long enough, Isaac got guitar because he had the longest arms and I started playing drums because that's all that was left!"

E

is for Ecuador. One of the three South American countries in the world where the Hanson boys grew up. Their father worked for an oil-drilling company that forced them to move from place to place, but they mainly lived in Trinidad, Ecuader and Venezuela.

F

is for family. There are seven kids and from youngest to oldest, they are: Zoe (newborn), Mackenzie (3), Avery (6), Jessica (9). That, of course, leaves Zachary (12), Taylor (14) and Isaac (17).

G

is for garage. When the guys started out, they turned their garage in Oklahoma into a studio which is covered in drawings of comic-strip characters and other sketches done by Taylor and Zac.

H

is for home school. The boys have never gone to a normal school and have been taught by their Mum, Diana, at home school since kindergarten.

I

is for injuries. Isaac sprained his ankle last year when he juped out of a tree. Taylor broke his arm two years ago going down a steep hill on his bike and flying over the handlebars (after almost colliding with a car!) and Zac broke his nose when he and Taylor were firing rocks off a see-saw. Oh well, boys will be boys!

is for Jason. Next time you see a huge, bald guy hanging around Ike, Tay and Zac, don't give him any attitude - that Hanson bodyguard, Jason Browning.

K

is for koalas. Isaac and Tay think those cute, little, cuddly bears are dangerous! In Australia .... �They creepy, though, aren't they, like, drunk from whatever it is that they eat??Sure Ike, we are with you .... those koalas are laid-back bears

L

is for left-handed. Zac is left-handed but Taylor is RIGHT-HANDED! So is Ike.

M

is for MMMBop. What else?! Hanson made music history in Australia when MMMbop the single entered Aussie charts at No. 1 - making them the first debut group ever to go straight to No. 1. How did they celebrate? They went to LazerQuest,?says Tay. it's a huge, pitch-black maze, where you shoot each other with lazer guns. We spent hours in there - it was awesome!?

N

is for No Doubt, one of the bands the boys like. They are also into savage garden, Alanis Morissette, Jewel, Spin Doctors, Spice Girls, Boyz II Men, Counting Crows and The Cardigans - to name a few.

O

is for other talents. Not only can these guys play perfect pop songs, they�re also good at other stuff. Ike�s been writing a sci-fi novel for the last two years, Tay wants to be an architect if this whole pop star thing fails (as if!) and Zac is great at drawing cartoons.

P

is for Pisces. Although he was definitely born on March 14th, 1983, some people have reported that Taylor�s birthday is on March 15th. This is not true at all - either way, though, he�s still the same star sign!

is for question they get asked the most, whih is: How did the group, Hanson, get started?

R

is for rollerblading. They guys love blading, as you can see in the MMMBop video. Infact they are SO skate-crazy that they have a rollerblading ramp in their backyard and even got busted for skating inside a five-star hotel in Europe, during one of their many tours!

S

is for Star Wars - Isaac and Taylor's fave film. In fact, Tay and zac joke that Ike looks like Chewbacca - the big, hairy wookie from the sci-fi flick. Nice!

T

is for Tulsa. Hanson�s hometown is right in the middle of America, situated in Oklahoma (south-west). It's famous for oil and er .... Garth Brooks?

U

is for under-age. they've acheived SO much for their age but it does have its setbacks. When they started out, the guys performed at The Blue Rose Cafe in Tulsa, but they had to do the gig in the carpark because they were too young to get in.

V

is for video. Their dad, Walker Hanson, takes a video camera everywhere they go, and records every interview, concert, shopping-centre appearance and harbour-cruise that Ike, Tay and Zac do.

W

is for Where the Love - their second hit single from the Middle of Nowhere album. Taylor was rumoured to have had a supposed kissing scene with a girl in the video, but this is denied. And another rumour was that it was edited out of the final cut because Tay was too embarrased, and that why it doesn't appear in the video.

X

is for x-girlfriends. taylor was said to have gone out with girls named Danielle, Ashley and Aimme. However, these rumours are totally false.

Y

is for years of struggle. They didn't just become big-time pop stars overnight - hanson were rejected 14 times by various companies, before signing a contract to Mercury records. Betcha some of those people who said no are kicking themselves now!

Z

is for zillions of letters, presents and even marriage proposals(!) they receive each week.
